The first annual VISINE® Students with Vision Scholarship program is offering graduating high school seniors and enrolled undergraduates the opportunity to compete for one of ten $5,000 scholarships for students who “demonstrate a clear and unique vision, strong ambition and determination to bring their dream to life.”
So what’s your vision? One local high school student dreams of making a “career in the field of medicine.” Another wants to be a “business leader.” While another wants to combine his love of science with an interest in medical studies “to become a physician-scientist” who treats patients as a doctor while simultaneously seeking “cures for complex diseases.”
“Whether it’s to play for a professional basketball league, invent a video game, design clothing or lead a crusade against world hunger,” VISINE® wants to know what your vision is and how you plan to achieve it in a 300-word essay or a two-minute video submitted along with a completed application by no later than April 16, 2012.
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a high school senior or a college freshman, sophomore or junior
- Be able to demonstrate involvement in school activities and/or community service
- Be able to demonstrate financial need
- Have a clear vision and be able to communicate your vision through a well-written essay or video presentation
- Have a GPA of 2.8 or above
Employees of Johnson & Johnson are not eligible.
Scholarship awards will be made based on academic achievement, school and community involvement, and the ability to express a vision or goal.
